Magnus Racing Statement on the Passing of Roger Miller

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (August 20, 2013)- Magnus Racing team owner John Potter and the entire Magnus organization would like to extend their condolences to the Miller family following Saturday’s passing of Roger Miller in Kansas City.

Beyond being a fellow GRAND-AM competitor, Roger was a major part of the Salt Lake City motorsport scene. With a great desire to grow the presence of racing in the area, both Miller and Magnus Racing’s John Potter shared a mutual enthusiasm for the sport.

As part of a very close-knit Salt Lake City community, the entire organization extends its heartfelt sympathies.

John Potter- “Roger and I have known each for a while, and I appreciated his desire to make the Utah racing community thrive. He was always great to work with, and represented his family very well. I’ll remember his professionalism and gentle demeanor, and it is a very unfortunate loss to the community.”

Andy Lally- “Roger Miller was definitely one of the nice guys, and it is a big loss to the sport. It was a sudden shock to everyone in the paddock. My sympathies are with his wife and children.”
