Stanton puts Magnus Racing eighth on grid in New Jersey heat

Have we told you how hot it is in New Jersey? It's really hot, and really humid. It's so hot, people think the green on our Magnus Racing Porsche simply melted away.
But in the heat of New Jersey, Craig Stanton qualified the Magnus Racing Porsche that he shares with John potter in eighth place for tomorrow's American Red Cross 250 at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
"The car was really great, but we got stuck in traffic and we missed the window on our tires," said Stanton. "The car was better than eighth. We'll have to have a clean start and pick up a few spots before John gets in the car for his stint."
With the high heat in New Jersey and the elimination of Grand-Am's 45-minute pitstop window, Stanton was given the nod to qualify and start the race. He will also finish the race while Potter will run the middle stint, as the two look to improve on their result of sixth place last season in New Jersey.
